Character Name: Lorne.
Age: 5 Years Old.
Gender: Male.
Pronouns: He/Him.
Rank: Guardian - Fighter Subclass.

Personality:
+ Independent.         - Emotionally Distant.
+ Determined.          - Stubborn.
+ Strategic.              - Insensitive.
+ Loyal.                   - Combative.

History:
Freedom. Peace. Tranquility. That had been his life before the presence of the Nomads would alter everything that they thought to touch. His life had been simple - his family living the life of normal wolves. He had been shown love and care from his parents and siblings, aunts and uncles - and was raised as any young wolf would be. He was taught to hunt, taught to fight, how to explore the lands that were laid out before him, as well as the customs and cultures of pack life. When the nomads arrived, they destroyed everything.

He watched as the life he had known was ripped away from him, his family either killed or captured. They dragged Lorne away. He growled, he snarled, and he bit. No matter how much he showed his teeth to the two-legs or how much he protested physically, it only seemed to anger them more. That's how he earned his first few scars - his pristine pelt no longer pure from the dangers that life could throw. Little did he know just how much things would change for him, and just how much danger he would be exposed to.

Anger and fear consumed him. What would happen to him? What had become of his family? Where was he? The crammed and suffocating space of a cage became his new home. Voices of other wolves cried out. The smell of fear and excitement filled his senses. He tried to drown it all out, overwhelmed entirely by his situation. At first he fought, trying to bend back the metal bars of his cage with his teeth. He missed the warmth of his family and the wind on his fur. He wanted to go home. Home. That's all he could think about.

His mind seemed to break, and he ran on instinct, becoming a shadow of what he once was. When they put him in the fighting pits for their sick amusement, he quickly became a monster, and the taste of blood and fur and sweat became his new normal. A mindless tool in the Nomad's quest for cruel entertainment, Lorne became one of many chess pieces. He quickly became numb to something that once would've made him sick to his stomach. Perform well and he'd eat well. Perform well and the humans would treat him better. Perform well and he'd earn more freedom. Freedom.

That's how he justified it. Somehow he twisted it in his mind that this what he had to do so he wouldn't have to wake up from the nightmare and face reality. Sooner or later - reality would end up crashing into him like a wave. "My son! My son!" A voice had cried from beyond the ring, and the repetitive, restless and desperate sound of claws scratching against metal forced him out of his trance. He looked down at the lifeless figure below him, and he immediately threw his head to the side, a burning mixture of food and stomach bile racing up his throat.

The shame, the anger, the disappointment in himself, and the tears that stung at the corners of his eyes - they all burned harder. He'd never taken a life of another wolf before, and seemingly long ago now - he never thought he would have to. The Nomads dragged the body away, and returned him back to his cage - the voice still ringing in his ears and the taste of blood stinging his gums. He refused to eat, refused to move - it didn't matter how cruel the Nomads would treat him. Eventually, they had left him to wallow in his shame until they decided that they didn't want to waste his "potential."

The Nomads decided that they wanted a stud male for their next generation of mindless fighters. It was an awkward, uncomfortable process that he rather not have participated in, but he was never cruel and he made sure it was over with as quickly as possible. He never met any of his litters, and there wouldn't be time for that either.

Chaos broke out one night - a dance of smoke and flame. They'd been walking him back to his cage when the fire happened. His eyes snapped open wide and his nostrils flared, an old feeling running through his blood. Freedom! The word cried out in his mind like a song, and he twisted and snapped at his capturers until all he could feel was the ground disappearing beneath his feet as he ran.

Eventually... He'd find himself standing in Emerald Forest.
