How to Submit Request Forms |
You may be wondering where the forms are for certain things such as biographies and Timeline requests. The forums aren't written in a topic per se. They actually populate when you go to create a topic in those forums. If you aren't familiar with code, this guide should help you understand how to edit it. We are going to use the Timeline request form as our example. The Biography will function the same way. Biography form Example Step one Open a new topic in Timeline Request via the Member Services forum. Title is what you like. Then review the code that should like the picture below. It's a mess, isn't it? Step 2. Locate the part of the code that says guided text such as "@Mod or Admin name" or "Give a five-seven sentence summary of the event" as underlined below. Step 3. Replace the above underlined text with answers correlating to the field names in the form. If you need to, press the Preview button to read the form more easily and follow along in the code. Step 4. When all fields are filled, hit submit. All done! Notes: If you mess up, you can refresh the page and it will reset the form to it's original state it started in when you opened the topic. If you need more fields for your biography, you can copy the codes below. If you prefer to use your own code for biographies, you can erase the code and put your own. |

Interactive Hunts and Duels |
How it works Hunting and Dueling can be quite fun when it comes to roleplaying a fight scene or tracking prey in the Emerald Forest. To add a bit of flare, we've added a simple dice system where members roll a twenty (20) sided dice to determine the amount of damage a wolf has done to the other. When a wolf has zero damage points, the fight is over. To prevent the fight from getting stale, participants can invoke "Emerald Fury" for three turns when dice rolls result in a number less than five (5) three times. Emerald Fury will double the dice rolls for the remainder of the duel. The author of the thread must tag a mod or admin to have the Emerald Fury approved. If a wolf reaches zero (0) damage points, the player must choose whether the wolf lives or dies. If the wolf chooses life, he/she must wait until their damage points are replenished before they can participate in a hunt or duel again. To replenish damage points, the player simply makes five (5) RP posts to gain twenty damage points at a time. When the bar is back to one-hundred (100) damage points, the player can participate in another hunt or duel. Rolling the Dice Dice rolls are done but writing a reply to a topic and rolling the dice at the same time. Once a reply is submitted, the dice cannot be rerolled. Dice options will be just below the post editor as shown below. You will put "1" in the dice roll box and select "damage rolls from the dice rolls dropdown to roll dice. If you prefer an easier time with the dice, you can roll the dice and link your post in our discord in the "roll dices" channel. A staff member will reply using the The Emerald Master account with responses pertaining to the encounter, prey or predator. If you find you are waiting on a reply from a staff member longer than 24-48 hours please ping Noella. Encounter Difficulty Different encounters have a different difficulty or required number of players to participate to complete the encounter. Difficulty is based on the number of health of the encounter. The chart below will help understand the difficulty of an encounter.
For more information on the types of encounters players may come across, please review the Emerald Forest guide. |
